Aksgar Magazine features compelling narrative photography work from India and beyond.
Aksgar (Urdu for photographer) also publishes multimedia work that uses the photographic image as a base to construct a visual narrative and writings that engage with photography as an art form.
Initiated in 2009, Aksgar has its origins in India, and it is South Asia’s first online magazine exclusively dedicated to contemporary narrative photography, multimedia work and critical writings on photography.
Besides the online presence, Aksgar will periodically publish a magazine distributed electronically and in print.
We are currently accepting submissions. If you’re interested in being featured on Aksgar please read the submission guidelines (click on Submit Your Work) and surprise us with your work.
